Moriarty high school gymnasium renovation

Moriarty-Edgewood School District

The Moriarty High School Gym Renovation project was a construction renovation of the existing athletic facility housing the Pinto’s Athletic Program. The renovation included a complete upgrade of the HVAC system servicing the gymnasium and athletic facilities, a re-roof of the gymnasium and field house, an upgrade to the lighting and electrical systems, and a total renovation of the existing athletic facilities.

The athletic facility was brought down to structural walls and foundations only, allowing for a total reconfiguration of the space. The new athletic field house is now equipped with new locker rooms, a custom weight room, modern wrestling room, privacy showers and restrooms, spacious coach offices, an updated training room, and a renovated visitors’ team area.
This project demonstrates the importance of community investment in young people. High school athletes not only have higher grade point averages and fewer school absences than non-athletes, they also develop the kind of work habits and self-discipline skills that help them become more responsible and productive community members, according to the National Federation of High School Associations.

This project created a facility that student athletes can be proud of. It provides them with a place to convene, compete, practice teamwork, and improve themselves. It demonstrates to MHS students – and their opposing teams – that they are worth the investment.
