Albuquerque Public Schools
The Janet Kahn School of Integrated Arts included new construction of a 35,953 square foot, two-story building, site work, and demolition of the existing school buildings. The $10.1 million project featured a gymnasium, classrooms, library, administrative offices, art/music rooms, theater with stage, kitchen, cafeteria, OT/PT room, computer lab, and kiln room.
The project also included construction of an access road, roundabout drop-off intersection, and an 88-space parking lot, as well as site utility work inclusive of a gas yard line, 10” fire line, 4” domestic water line, and storm sewer and sanitary sewer lines.
The project was designed to meet a LEED Silver certification – with construction-related credits in Indoor Air Quality Management, Construction Waste Management, and building materials management (recycled content, rapidly renewable, VOCs, and certified wood).
